Why Cordless

Overhead light comes from above and behind you. It flattens the room, and it puts your own shadow over whatever you are doing with your hands.

Light at table level does the opposite. It shapes the room, and it lands where you actually are: on the dinner table, the book, the puzzle, the counter.

The only reason most homes do not have light at table level everywhere is the outlet. That is the problem a rechargeable lamp removes.
